Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I've been experiencing Hyperthyroidism symptoms like cold feet, dizziness if I laugh too much or move a lot, fatigue, slightly more pee, unusual happiness, irritation in hot weather, and high blood pressure. I had a test after 3 days of finishing a typhoid injection, plus I was taking a stomach acid pill, and the test turned out negative. Should I recheck again?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr.Galen. Please find the below response to your query:

Given the complexity of your symptoms and the negative test result you received, it’s worth considering various potential complications and implications. Hyperthyroidism can manifest through a range of symptoms affecting multiple bodily systems. Complications such as thyroid storm, heart issues (like atrial fibrillation), osteoporosis, and eye problems can arise if hyperthyroidism is left untreated. Additionally, the interaction between the typhoid vaccine, stomach acid pill, and thyroid function testing may introduce confounding factors that could affect your results.

Given the symptoms you’ve described and the possibility of underlying health conditions, I highly recommend scheduling a consultation for a comprehensive evaluation. This will allow us to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. Your health is very important, and a thorough assessment will ensure we address your concerns effectively.

Thanks
