Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I have oily skin and only use a clean and clear face wash. Despite this, my face remains oily and I have many small pimple-like dots on my right cheek, chin, and forehead, with dark spots from pimples that won't go away. Sometimes the dots disappear but return. Can you suggest products to help me achieve clear skin? Please assist me with my skincare routine.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Considering your oily, acne-prone skin, it's crucial to use products specifically tailored for your skin type. An ideal skincare routine for you would include a cleansing toner, a foaming face wash, treatment serums, and sunscreen.

Cleansing toners help to remove excess oil and impurities from the skin, while foaming face washes effectively cleanse the pores, preventing further breakouts. Treatment serums containing ingredients like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide can target acne and prevent new breakouts. Additionally, sunscreen is essential to protect your skin from harmful UV rays, which can worsen acne and cause dark spots.

To receive personalized product recommendations and a tailored skincare routine, I encourage you to book a consultation with us. Our team will assess your skin condition and provide you with the most suitable products and regimen to achieve clear and healthy skin.

Thanks
