I got my period with cramps and flow, then it stopped Saturday night. I had unprotected sex Saturday morning while on the birth control pill. Now it's Monday, and I'm cramping with light spotting. What's happening?

It's advisable to undergo a medical examination, including a urine pregnancy test. While birth control pills are generally effective, a scanty period could occur, especially with prolonged use. If you've been on the pill for five years and experience bothersome cramps, it may be worth considering switching to a different contraceptive method.
