Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I recently finished taking Meprate to regulate my periods, but it's been 4 days since I stopped the medication and I still haven't gotten my period. Should I be concerned, or is this normal?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

It's understandable to be concerned if your period hasn't arrived after taking Meprate tablets. There are several potential reasons for this, including hormonal imbalances, underlying health issues, stress, or changes in lifestyle habits. Typically, withdrawal bleeding is expected within 3-5 days after stopping Meprate, but sometimes it can take up to a week. If you still haven't gotten your period after this time, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional. They can offer personalized advice and further evaluation to determine the underlying cause and appropriate next steps.

Thanks
