Hello Doctor,
I do not know why, but since I was 14 years old I had 2 white "pimples" on my scrotal sac, they were small, about 1mm each in diameter, so I did not think much of it. Since last week, one of them started growing though, and now it's gotten bigger, now it's about 8mm in diameter. There's still the white part on top of it, but it feels like another "pimple" is forming under it. When I squeeze it a little bit, it turns white, but currently it's pinkish. I hope it's nothing too serious, it started itching a little bit lately as well.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr.Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
The growth of a pimple on your scrotum, especially with noticeable changes in size, color, and the onset of itching, can be concerning. While it’s possible that the pimple is due to common causes like ingrown hairs, blocked sebaceous glands, or clogged pores, any change in size and color should be carefully monitored. The pinkish color and the formation of another pimple underneath may indicate an infection or irritation that needs medical attention.
It’s also important to consider other possibilities such as cysts, folliculitis, or even sexually transmitted infections (STIs), which can sometimes present as bumps or pimples in the genital area. Given the itching and continued growth, I strongly recommend scheduling a medical consultation to rule out these potential issues. Early evaluation will help determine if any treatment is needed to prevent further complications. In the meantime, avoid squeezing or irritating the area further, as this could lead to infection or scarring.
Please do not hesitate to reach out for further tests or an in-person consultation if the symptoms worsen.
Thanks
