Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

My liver enzymes and ESR levels are not normal. I have severe migraines and trouble concentrating. I also have memory issues. I always feel tired, and my tiredness is increasing with each passing day.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Your symptoms may be related to liver disease and/or other conditions, such as hepatic encephalopathy, cirrhosis, or eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome. Eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome is a rare disorder that affects multiple organ systems, including the muscles, skin, and lungs. Symptoms can include muscle pain, weakness, cramping, skin rashes, difficulty breathing, and fatigue. Fatigue is a common symptom of liver disease and can be caused by changes in central neurotransmission, which results from signaling between the diseased liver and the brain. It’s important to consult with your physician for an intensive evaluation and appropriate treatment.

Thanks
