Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I've missed my period by a week, and despite negative test results, I've started experiencing spotting ranging from light pink to bright red. It's not enough to fill a tampon. I've also been having mild cramps in my lower right abdomen and lower back. Should I be concerned about this?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

1. Hormonal changes

2. Stress

3. Changes in birth control

4. Pregnancy

2. May indicate another issue

Next Steps:

1. Determine if this is a recurring pattern or a new occurrence

3. A thorough evaluation can provide personalized guidance

Thanks
