Patient Question

Is discomfort in my lower ribs and middle back, particularly centered around my lower breastbone, potentially a symptom of GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease)? This pain, sometimes dull and achy and at other times sharp, also affects both sides and worsens with pressure near the bottom of my breastbone. Its onset was this week.

The symptoms you're describing might suggest Acute Gastritis.

1.If your BMI indicates obesity, it's advisable to undergo tests such as USG Abdomen and Lipid profile to rule out Fatty Liver Disease.

2.Keep in mind that factors like stress, lifestyle choices, and dietary habits can significantly influence these conditions.
