Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I’ve been dealing with some troubling symptoms, and I’m wondering if I might have chronic fatigue syndrome. I experience a fast resting heart rate, and whenever I exert myself, I feel short of breath, dizzy, and sometimes get chest pains, along with palpitations. I also have frequent migraines, sore neck and shoulders, insomnia, no appetite, nausea, fatigue, and blurry vision. Could this be chronic fatigue syndrome, and if so, what are the treatment options available?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

1. I understand that dealing with these symptoms can be really challenging, and I empathize with how you're feeling. The symptoms you’ve described could be due to a variety of conditions, not necessarily chronic fatigue syndrome.

2. It's important to consult with a doctor who can take a detailed history, ask the right questions, and recommend the necessary tests to help narrow down the cause of your symptoms. This will allow for an accurate diagnosis and the most appropriate treatment plan.

Thanks
