Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

For the past few days, I have been feeling really sick (more unusual than I have ever much felt before). What started as feeling a tad bit nauseous to having an upset stomach turned into a really upset stomach and feeling faint. After this, I began to have hot and cold flashes and insane fatigue. My forehead was burning up. After this, I woke up the next morning feeling a little better, yet still a bit fatigued and threw up slightly. It is now the next day, and now I am only slightly tired and am having a bit of diarrhea. My lower stomach still feels a little off, but I’m still worried?

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Your symptoms indicate a significant change in your health, progressing from nausea to an upset stomach, faintness, hot and cold flashes, fatigue, fever, and gastrointestinal disturbances. These symptoms may signal various underlying conditions, such as a viral infection, food poisoning, or other gastrointestinal issues, which could require medical attention.

Given that you’ve experienced a combination of fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and persistent fatigue, it's essential to seek medical advice promptly. These symptoms can lead to dehydration, especially if vomiting and diarrhea continue. Therefore, it’s important to stay hydrated and monitor your condition closely.

I recommend scheduling an appointment for a comprehensive evaluation. During this consultation, we can discuss your symptoms in detail, perform any necessary tests, and create a personalized care plan tailored to your needs. Your health is our priority, and addressing these concerns promptly is vital to ensure your well-being and recovery.

If your symptoms worsen or you experience severe abdominal pain, high fever, or prolonged vomiting, please seek immediate medical care.

Thanks
