Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

My child has thick yellow eye discharge, swollen eyelids, and crusting. Now my left eye feels irritated with mild mucus. We're using warm compresses, but it’s not improving. Can we get antibiotic treatment?

Hello

Thank you for reaching out Dr. Galen, Please find the below response to your query.

It sounds like you may have bacterial conjunctivitis, which is contagious. You can use Tetracycline ointment twice or three times a day. Improvement should be seen by day four. Hope you recover soon!

Thanks
