Hello Doctor,
What are the benefits and drawbacks of using medical marijuana? I suffer from chronic daily headaches, PTSD, anxiety with frequent panic attacks, depression, migraines, and convulsions. Currently, I take Zoloft for depression and regularly see multiple therapists. I prefer to avoid conventional medications due to concerns about harmful chemicals and their potential side effects on my well-being.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
I am a Psychiatrist Physician, and there was a time in my life when I anticipated high demand due to my work prescribing medicinal Cannabis. However, I would like to clarify that my intention here is solely to share my knowledge about this treatment. The use of Cannabis shows great promise, but currently, the positive therapeutic evidence is not extensive enough to provide us with a substantial amount of technical knowledge regarding Cannabis. It is still an experimental treatment, and we are conducting individual patient studies as part of our approach. It is evident that we must always approach treatments with complete certainty, which is not yet the case with Cannabis. Unlike conventional medicine, which has been studied for years, Cannabis is still in the process of research and development.
Thanks
