Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

Although medication has provided relief for my anxiety and depression, why do I experience occasional symptoms such as nausea and muscle aches?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

It is a really good question, primarily because it is relatively simple to answer. However, the main reason is that most psychiatrists have been overlooking this specific treatment situation. The truth is, you are not in an enlightened treatment at all! If you are still experiencing symptoms, it is important to analyze these symptoms thoroughly. Perhaps you are not feeling as good as you thought you would when the anxiety disappeared. It is crucial to reflect on the treatments benefits, the intensity of possible symptoms at the moment, and to avoid expecting to feel perfect all the time, as this is unrealistic. Therefore, it is vital to evaluate whether you are experiencing residual symptoms or simply going through a rough patch for various reasons.

Thanks
