Hello Doctor,
I was forced into a medication abortion and was given the wrong dosage. I was 11 weeks pregnant at the time, and it took a few days for the baby to pass. After the baby passed, I bled a lot but only for a few days. Two weeks later, I tested positive for pregnancy, even though I haven’t had sex since the abortion. Could it be possible that I was pregnant with twins and only one baby was aborted?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
It's possible that you could be experiencing a situation where only one pregnancy was terminated, or it could be a molar pregnancy. In either case, I would recommend having a serum beta hCG test and an ultrasound to help confirm the diagnosis. These tests will provide more clarity on what's going on and guide the next steps in your care. Please make sure to consult with your healthcare provider as soon as possible for further evaluation.
Thanks
