Medical Treatment: Do the following things to relieve plantar fasciitis by yourself:
- Use soft insoles or heel pads shoes
- Wear-large comfortable, low-heel and soft sole shoes
- Do not try to walk on hard surfaces barefoot
- Do not walk or stand for a long time
- Rest and raise your foot on a stool when you can
- Do not wear tight shoes or high heels
- Do not wear backless slippers or flip-flops
- Do not take ibuprofen for the first 48 hours
- Take painkillers like paracetamol
- Place a bag of frozen peas in a painful area for up to 20 minutes every 2 to 3 hours
- Regular gentle stretching exercises (do not put pressure on your feet, such as swimming)
To see a GP when the pain is severe or stopping you doing normal activities and getting worse or keeps coming back
