How to Treat Head Lice And Nits?
Medical Treatment:
When you spot head lice, treat it quickly.
Should check everybody in the house and begin treating someone on the same day who has head lice.
If your child has head lice, there is no need to keep your child off school
Wet combing can be remove the lice and nits. (first, try this method)
Wash your hair using ordinary shampoo.
Apply lots of conditioners.
Comb the entire head of hair, from the roots to the ends.
To comb short hair usually takes 10 minutes and long frizzy or curly hair takes 20 to 30 minutes.
Do wet combing to catch any newly hatched head lice on days 1, 5, 9 and 13. (check again that every one hair is free of lice on day 17).
If your child still has live head lice, they may prescribed medicated lotions and sprays. Speak to a doctor.
Permethrin 1% lotion or Spinosad 0.9% lotion is effective.
