How long should I soak in Epsom salts after stitches are removed to aid in healing? The dog bite on my left hand, which occurred a week ago, still shows redness and swelling.

Using Epsom salts on wounds for exfoliation is a good way to soothe the skin and promote wound healing, although the time frame is not well defined. However, if the site is still itchy, an additional week of Epsom salt use is advisable. Alternatively, you can also apply hydrocortisone skin ointment to the wound.
