Patient Question
Hello Doctor,
I have a 6 mm kidney stone in my ureter, and it is causing intense pain. Can you provide any remedies for pain relief?

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
You can start with an oral NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) or an opioid painkiller. Usually, it is sufficient, but every patients pain tolerance is different. Additionally, you can ask the pharmacy for analgesic drugs that can be inserted through suppositories, as they act faster than oral drugs.
Thanks
