Patient Question

Hello Doctor

Have been experienced organ displacement and enlargement, possibly due to rapid weight loss. Recent MRI showed liver is three times its normal size, pushing stomach and kidneys out of place. Feel so scared yet relieved the symptoms are validated, including severe fatigue, stomach pain, burning, nausea, gas, and unexplained weight loss of nearly 90 lbs.

Hello

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Organ displacement and enlargement, particularly in the liver, result from fatty liver conditions. Symptoms such as fatigue, stomach pain, nausea, and gas may relate more to hyperacidity and acid reflux than just liver enlargement. Lifestyle changes include a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins, while avoiding fatty, fried, and spicy foods. Gradual weight loss through diet and exercise can help alleviate symptoms and prevent complications. Seeking prompt medical attention is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment guidance.
