Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I've been struggling with frequent and painful mouth ulcers for a while. Despite taking vitamin supplements as advised by my doctor, they keep recurring. What could be causing these widespread mouth ulcers?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

It sounds like your mouth ulcers may be related to stress or a weakened immune system, possibly after infections or fever, particularly if you've recently taken antibiotics. The multivitamins were likely recommended to support your immune system and overall health. While occasional mouth ulcers are common and usually resolve within 1-2 weeks, if they persist for a month or longer, it's advisable to consult with a doctor for further evaluation and management.

Thanks
