Hello Doctor,
I've noticed my heart rate has been steadily increasing, reaching up to 140 beats per minute. I recently underwent a 72-hour holter monitoring. What could be causing this escalation in my heart rate?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
Based on the findings from your Holter monitoring, it appears that your average heart rate is elevated. Several factors could contribute to this increase, including anemia, obesity, high blood pressure, or nervous system disorders. To further understand the underlying cause, we recommend additional tests. These include a general blood count, blood calcium and vitamin D levels, Homa IR test for insulin resistance, and Thyroid-stimulating hormone test. Additionally, regular blood pressure measurements will help in monitoring your cardiovascular health.
Thanks
