Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I've been experiencing pain in my testicles for about three weeks now. It feels like a stomach cramp, but in my testicles. I haven't noticed any other symptoms. What could be causing this?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Varicocele: Often more prevalent on the left side, worsened by prolonged standing or walking.

Inflammation, Congestion, and Other Causes: Other potential sources of testicular pain include inflammation, congestion, hydrocele, epididymal cyst, and hernia.

Referred Pain: Testicular pain can also be a result of referred pain from other organs, such as the kidneys.

Diagnostic Approach: A Scrotal Doppler ultrasound is recommended to identify abnormalities in blood flow to the testicles, aiding in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Thanks
