Hello Doctor,
I have cavity pain. I also experience pain while drinking water or eating. The cavity is not so big... Please suggest something to resolve it.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
In case of pain when drinking water or eating, we advise you to visit the dental clinic for a check-up. After taking an x-ray of the tooth and receiving full details from your side, we will be able to determine the treatment plan, which usually involves fillings or root canal treatment if needed. However, I advise you not to drink cold water and to use a straw. Additionally, try to chew food on the opposite side of your mouth (away from the affected tooth) until you visit your dentist. This can reduce irritation to the tooth pulp and may help in avoiding root canal treatment.Remember, these are temporary measures to manage the pain until you can see a dentist. It's important to schedule an appointment with a dentist as soon as possible to address the cavity and prevent further complications.
Thanks
