Hello Doctor,
I have piles with a swollen anus on one side. I have been experiencing this problem for four days, but there is no bleeding. Could you please suggest some treatment options?

Piles, otherwise known as hemorrhoids, can be very frustrating. Here is what you need to do:
1.Use a high-fiber diet.
2.Take warm salt sitz baths for 15-30 minutes twice a day.
3.Insert one Anusol suppository daily in the mornings for 7 days.
4.Take 10 ml of lactulose syrup twice daily for 7 days.
5.If symptoms persist, please see a general surgeon.
