How to Treat Fever In Children?

Medical Treatment:
Things you can do your child or baby at home
  • Give them plenty of fluids
  • Check your child regularly at night
  • Look for dehydration signs
  • Keep them at home
  • Do not give paracetamol under 2 months baby
  • Do not give ibuprofen under 3 months baby or under 5kg and children who have asthma
  • Do not undress or sponge your child down to cool them
  • Do not cover them up in too many clothes or bedclothes
  • Unless your GP tells you to, do not combine ibuprofen and paracetamol, and should not give aspirin to under the age of 16
  • If your child is under 3 months old and has 38C or higher temperature and 3 to 6 months old baby has 39C or higher temperature and your baby have other illness signs, like a rash, as well as a high temperature
