I am passionate about public health and community medicine, which I studied during my time at the Faculty of Medicine. I have always been drawn to the practical aspects of healthcare that directly impact the community and individual well-being. During my studies, I earned a B+ and an A in the program, and I went on to work at a Public Health Centre for nearly four years.
In this role, I had the privilege of coordinating the Indonesian Health with Family Approaching Program, a community initiative aimed at expanding healthcare access by visiting families in their homes. We conducted screenings for common health issues, including blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, and BMI. Additionally, I played a vital role in educating families about hypertension and ensuring continuous follow-up care to avoid “loss-to-follow-up,” ultimately improving the community’s overall health.
My work during the COVID-19 pandemic further deepened my connection to public health, as I was involved in testing, tracing, and treatment for suspected and confirmed cases. I focused on ensuring patients were well-informed and supported throughout their illness, which strengthened my commitment to improving health outcomes on both an individual and community level.
