I was born in 1958 in Amasya, Turkey, and moved to Canada at the age of three. I completed my primary and secondary education in Canada, then pursued pre-med at Montreal Dawson College. I earned my medical degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine and completed my internship at Montreal General Hospital affiliated with McGill University.

Since 1990, I have worked as a Gastroenterology and Hepatology specialist at Chaleur Regional Hospital, Vitalité Health Network, in Bathurst, New Brunswick. I hold a medical license in Maine, USA, and trained under top experts in ERCP and Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty. I actively participate in global conferences and am a member of the Oxford University International Bariatric Club.

In addition to my clinical work, I have embraced telemedicine as an essential part of modern healthcare. Through telemedicine, I am able to offer remote consultations, improving accessibility to care and providing ongoing support for patients, regardless of their location.

I divide my time between Canada and Turkey, working at Gayrettepe Florence Nightingale Hospital and teaching at Bilim University. I currently see patients at the Istanbul Gastroenterology Center and hold an associate professorship at Sherbrooke University. I am also the head of the Gastroenterology service at Vitalité Health Network in Canada.
