I have been working as an Assistant Specialist at Abbasia Chest Hospital in Cairo, Egypt, since 2014. Abbasia Chest Hospital is one of the largest and most important chest hospitals in Cairo and serves as a referral center for nearby general hospitals. My responsibilities include attending shifts as the alternate medical director of the hospital, leading daily ward and consultant rounds, and making treatment plans for inpatient and outpatient cases. I also participate in grand staff meetings and ensure the highest quality of patient care.
Before my current role, I was a resident of Pulmonary Medicine at Ain Shams University from 2011 to 2014. During this time, I gained extensive experience in managing respiratory emergencies and handling a variety of pulmonary conditions. I was involved in the assessment, treatment, and follow-up of patients in outpatient clinics, as well as the management of critical cases in the Respiratory ICU. I also gained experience in sleep-related disorders, pulmonary function tests, chest ultrasonography, and bronchoscopy sessions.
Earlier in my career, I worked as a General Practitioner at the Ministry of Health and Population of Egypt in 2011, where I provided primary medical care and treatment for minor illnesses, and managed chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Additionally, I completed my Master of Science in Chest Diseases and Pulmonary Medicine at Ain Shams University, which further solidified my expertise in this field.
