I came into the ER on July 18. I came by squad with chest pains and I had to wait in the waiting room. My time was very short there and they did alot with me while I was there. They did x-rays, blood work and medicine for pain right from the waiting room. When I got to my room I knew pretty fast that I was being admitted. They thought I needed a heart cath. Thank goodness they felt that way cause as it turned out, I had four blockages. Everyone in the cath lab was awesome in keeping me calm. But.....my real reason for this review is the nurses on the 5th floor. Especially Hillery, Dawn and Susan. Shout out to three of the BEST nurses I've ever had. You three deserve recognition. Kudos to the 5th floor nurses!!!!!!

The rating to this hospital is an absolute joke! 2.4 stars is such an insult to the men and women that work here. From the emergency staff to the 3rd floor cardio and down to the OR this place is absolutely fantastic. Not only were they kind, helpful and caring they were also information, detailed and thorough. Thank you to all the Nurses and Doctors that helped me with my A-fib issues, your dedication to the medical field is unmatched. I am forever grateful for you all, stay safe and god bless!

Wheeling Hospital has always warmly welcomed my family and I. From my daughter's Type I diagnosis to the birth of my son, we have never had better care elsewhere. The only comparison has been WVU at Morgantown and WVU now owns Wheeling. I highly recommend Dr. Mosman and his team for your children as well as Dr. Kochenbaug for primary care and Dr. DeGuzman for any baby planning.

When I read the reviews about Wheeling Hospital I was very nervous about my husband going there. Iām happy to say, from the ER visit to the hospital stay. We have been treated with so much respect, the nurses and Dr. listen to us, the facility is very clean, and they are very thorough with taking care of my husband. One thing you have to remember, most people that have had a great experience forget to leave a review. The ones that have had a bad experience make it their top priority to tell everybody about it. No hospital is perfect, my experience with Wheeling Hospital was a very good one!!

I was in wheeling hospital from April 30 th until may 12 the had to have neck surgery done. The staff and everyone that took care of me and helped me get through these last 12 days. I want to thank all the aids, nurses, house keeping and the staff in the kitchen. There is one special nurse on the 4 the floor that took real good care of me. Angela thank you very much. You are the best. I wish I knew your last name so I can send you flowers š¹

The ER staff was amazing during my visit. Hospitals usually freak me out, but every person I interacted with was nothing but kind and accommodating to make it as stress-free as possible. They all had great attitudes, despite being as busy as they were.

Last March I had a fall at home and dislocated my left elbow. I am disabled and was unable to get up off the floor for many hours. After I was found I was transported to Wheeling Hospital. Things really improved after that. Everyone I came in contact with was calm, polite, solicitous, and friendly. The orthopedist and staff fixed my arm in the middle of the night for which I was extremely grateful. Because of my many problems I spent several days there . This was a totally positive experience and I highly recommend Wheeling Hospital.

My original review over two years ago was pretty negative. It was written during a transition period of one major hospital, OVMC, closing and turning out all patients mainly to what is now WVU Medicine/Wheeling Hospital. Since then, considerable improvements have been made although, like any hospital there's plenty of room for improvement. However, I love my hematologist, my practioner and the nurses. My mammography experience was far better, too. I have much greater peace of mind than I did two or three years ago.

Took my Husband to ER Jan 8/2020 with chest pains /shortness of breath at 5:30AM. Took him back The Nurses were right there immediately. It took a long time to see the Dr. You got to realize these people and this hospital are under the gun and bombarded with overload of patients caused by the closing of 2 other Hospitals. We waited patiently Sure we wanted to be seen faster like everyone else. When the Dr got to us he was so professional and very caring. He ordered plenty of tests and found blood clots in leg that traveled to both lungs. He was immediatly administered Blood Thinners. After more tests he was admitted. We waited for room for 5 hours Again all beds were full because of overload. That ER was so good to him and took good care of him. I watched all of them working so hard and being so kind. Yes again it took 5 hrs to get to room and again they did their best to make him comfortable. I thank everyone of them from the bottom of my heart for ultimately saving his life ! When we got to a room again the treatment there was exemplary. If I have any thing to say to people going to ER it's hard but we have got to be patient and understand the reason for long waits. GOD BLESS all š involved in saving my š HUSBAND. It was worth the WAIT. Thank You. Carolyn and Mont Edge
They saved my life and. The Dr's and nurses were very kind and professional. I couldn't recommend this hospital enough. They went out of there way to make sure I was getting the best care when I was there and when I came home. They didn't just send me home the next day. They cared for me for 10 days. To make sure everything was OK. Since then I've lost 150lbs and continued to fight to get my life back .
