The Vermont EMS system comprises 13 EMS Districts, which are generally aligned with hospital catchment areas. Each district is overseen by a District Board, consisting of representatives from member ambulance and first responder agencies. The board selects a Chair, Training Coordinator, and Medical Advisor for each district.
