The University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) is one of the largest hospitals in the Netherlands and is the largest employer in the Northern Netherlands. The more than 12,000 employees work together on care, research, training and education with the common objective: building the future of health.

They have been doing this since 1614, when the second medical faculty of the Netherlands was founded in Groningen. Since the University Hospital saw the light of the light in 1797, hospital and faculty have been inseparably linked. By fully committed to improving public health and quality of life, they provide the care at home or near home if possible, and further away if necessary and also use e-health solutions more often. Their education and training program trains professionals for this new future.Three priorities are their focus. In everything they do, in every place in the organization, they keep our priorities in mind: work on healthy ageing and do it in people-centric, value-driven and data-informed.

The most beautiful hospital in Netherlands. I'm so impressed. Nurses and doctors are very qualified. I had surgery so I spent here 2 days. Care and food were realy good. This hospital looking inside like good hotel. In the building are to many art figure and paintings. In UMCG are also small shopping.

Great hospital with great doctors. Staff are very friendly, and doctors are warm and kind, let alone knowledgeable and professional Architecture is welcoming. It feels more like a university or a museum than a hospital. Although no goes to a hospital for fun, my wife and I had a good experience there. A special "Thank you" to everyone working in this great place.

This is not only a hospital, but also a part of the University of Groningen. For the health care matters, it provides a lot of services, from midwife until doctors with any expertise. Very large and complete. Easy to be accessed by car, public transport (bus), and bike. Many parking area nearby.

The hospital is integrated with the research facility and probably with the medical school as well. Everything looks neatly designed and I didn't see long queue.
