This definitely is not how I wanted to end my 12 day New England trip... but everyone here is SO nice! Everyone is accommodating and approachable. There's people to help with every aspect of your visit. To getting out of the car to finding the correct area to getting back out again. Vermont definitely has great hospitals and staff. **permission granted to take photo of staff**

Honestly one of the best ER experiences I’ve ever had. Compared to Long Island hospitals….Im happy to give this hospital 5 stars. I didn’t wait to be seen, every examination was thorough, each employee made sure I was comfortable, everyone was easy to talk to and I was diagnosed and discharged within a reasonable amount of time. I’m so happy this is the closest hospital to me.

I’m sharing my experience briefly because it was such a great experience having a total knee replacement done at this facility by Dr. Nofzinger. Before I went to see Dr. Nofzinger I saw a doctor at Ortho NY (I live in NY state) decided with that initial visit there was no way I would have them do my knee 😬. My Mom had surgery at South West Vermont Medical and was thrilled with her care. I was working in healthcare at the time and received 2 recommendations from my primary doctor and a coworker @Dr. Nofzinger. So happy with SWVMC and Dr. Nofzinger. Totally positive experience with nothing negative to say with all who were involved in my care.

This review is for the amazing, sweet, an very helpful driver of the shuttle bus named Dolly. She was so kind to my son and I a couple weeks ago when my mother had been admitted. Sometimes doing something small to help someone having a stressful or bad day can make a world of difference and she helped me in that way. I wish more people were as wonderful as her. I hope SVMC appreciates what a amazing person she is and a asset to have working there.

A few days ago I had the unfortunate privilege of getting my first kidney stone. I'm one who avoids the doctor's at all costs... unless it's a true emergency. Long story short, I took a trip to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and wow.. I couldn't have asked for a more caring, patient staff. They did everything in their power to make sure I was comfortable. I ended up having to stay over night and once they were able to get some of my pain under control, I was able to feel comfortable for a bit and rest! They listened, explained everything so I could fully understand, and they genuinely seemed like they actually cared and took pride in their job! I don't usually leave reviews, I'm just beyond thankful of all the staff that had helped me that night. Thank you all so much.

Dr Barnyak saved my badly broken wrist from surgery. I am so grateful to him and all the ER staff for their care, comfort and support! The triage nurse was so kind, and Claire was so supportiveandreassuring! She got me through the bone setting process! I'm also grateful to Suzanne in Radiology.

I have been to many places for care over the years, this particular ER .. is the absolute best. Every single person who dealt with me was so kind and beyond nice. They had me getting better within hours of figuring out the issue. They treated me with dignity, respect and most of all they listen to me and helped me. This type of care is what every hospital should model to be like. It isn't easy when your very sick and nurses are rude or harsh, if not nurses it's Dr or other staff that make it much worse, I am so incredibly grateful for the kindness, compassion and overall care with this hospital.
