This hospital, Cardiac Floor, two west, has the most caring nurses I have ever had. They are kind, informative, and there for the patient at all times. My room was spotless with fresh linens, fresh gown, the floor was clean as well as the bathroom and all my needs were met. I always had fresh water and my medications were administrated on schedule. The nurses checked on me at least every two hours and always asked if there was anything they could do for me. Both shifts were equally proficient in their jobs. I would like to give them all a Daisy Award. I must add that the chef made a cardiac diet taste wonderful. A big thank you to everyone there! ♥

My husband was in a motorcycle accident with multiple breaks, and a lot of pain. Between the ER staff and the Ortho Unit Staff, the cleaning crew, the food service staff... everyone we came into contact with was exceptional. Not one person made us uneasy. They were caring, informational, patient, and though clearly busy...did not make us feel that they were ready to rush out of here and were very personable. Anytime there was a wait for his nurse or NCP to come in they always came in apologetic and ready to help and make up for it. It has been a long time since I was in a hospital that had such a great care team. We had to stay a week and 2 days and they made a lot of the stress go away with how wonderful they were. We are very thankful for them and their service!

My father was recently a patient at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on several occasions. The care he received every time was exceptional. My family and I cannot thank the nurses and staff on 2 West enough; especially Nurses Natalie, Abby, and Ashley, and Care Partner Ms. Bettie.

It’s been a long time since I revisited VBGH. Today I had to bring my mother in for a visit they were so sweet and kind. They didn’t seem fed up like most nursing staff are at other hospitals. They took their time with her and was very gentle. They listened well to the concerns. We were there for 6 hours. That was a little frustrating but there was a storm and flash flooding all over VB today. Several accidents took precedence over my mom not feeling well. Totally understandable. I think there were 10 accidents with 3 patients in critical conditions. My SUPER NURSES KERRI & DEVON took awesome care of us and the trauma patients on the other side of the ER. It was like a real live WWW scene TAG-TEAMING from both sides. Wow. The doctor was so sweet and well mannered too. Thankx guys. You are our go-to now. God bless you all!!!!!!
