Broke my leg and spent 5 nights in hospital. I thought the staff was great and friendly and had some laughs with them , food was better than I though it would be. The care level was very good was kept informed of what's going on daily about my care and treatment . could do with upgrading and some money spent on it but that's not the hospital's fault.

I have recently attended Sandwell Hospital and I have been overwhelmed with joy as to what I have seen. The HCAs and nurses are caring and compassionate - something we expect to have in a field like this, however these core values are unfortunately in low supply these days! I would like to say a big thank you to ward Priory Two and its staff, as you have restored my confidence that staff who care about patients still exist. After a service user who I support, was stabilised in City hospital and had a very unpleasant experience and had low expectations moving forward, I am proud to say that Sandwell Hospital and its staff are doing their duty of care with due diligence and upmost integrity. Thank you to Dawn, the HCA for her compassion and dedication, and all the other staff including the sisters I was able to liaise with. Keep up the good work!

The paramedics who took me in to this hospital were lovely people. The staff at the a and e department were kind and caring and took their job seriously by making sure I had the right tests done before sending me home. I didn't like the waiting time at a and e but it was worth the wait as I was given the right treatment there and the doctors and nurses were very kind. Thank you so much to the nurses and doctors who made sure you gave me the right tests done and the right treatment before sending me home. Now I got antibiotics hopefully I can start getting better again.

Went to A&E for severe back pain as its impossible to get a doctors appointment. I was seen by a nurse with in 10 minutes of booking in, and then a doctor half an hour later, was in and out in under 2 hours. Absolutely brilliant service.

I spent 8 hours in A&E on Monday with chest pain, dizziness, fainting, breathlessness and general weakness. The staff were all friendly and hard-working. They now have calm music playing in the waiting area, which I found soothing, as well as recorded announcements giving information. A man came round with a trolley at one point offering hot drinks to people. There is a long wait, but the staff do all work hard. They were also very thorough, I had blood tests, a urine test, a chest x-ray and 3 ECGs, and have already received an appointment at the cardiology department for two weeks time. The doctor at the hospital explained things clearly to me and took as much time as was needed. I think the staff are all doing their very best in difficult circumstances, and I was happy with the help I received and am very grateful.

My husband went to the urgent treatment centre with chronic pain in his lower back. From the receptionists to the doctor the treatment was first class. They were extremely busy but he waited 3.1/2 hrs, had xray and advice from the Doctor. He could not fault the service.
