The SA Ambulance Service proudly acknowledges the rich cultural heritage and custodianship of the Indigenous peoples over the lands and seas upon which we operate. With deep reverence, they pay tribute to the traditional owners, recognizing their enduring connection to country and their stewardship of the environment for countless generations. It is with profound respect that they honor the wisdom, knowledge, and traditions passed down by elders, both past and present, whose guidance continues to enrich their understanding of community and land. As an essential emergency service provider, they are committed to fostering meaningful partnerships and collaborations with Indigenous communities.
They recognize the importance of cultural sensitivity and understanding in delivering care and support to all members of society, and they are dedicated to promoting health equity and social justice for Indigenous peoples. In alignment with their commitment to reconciliation, they strive to ensure that their operations and practices reflect the principles of respect, recognition, and empowerment as they work towards a future of shared prosperity and wellbeing for all.
Unsure if the paramedics who attended were from Parafield or Redwood Park station but cannot thank the two guys who attended yesterday and cared for my baby enough. You were so calm and kind and patient especially with an extremely panicked first time parent. Have never had to call an ambulance before and it’s not an experience I’d like to repeat, but you guys are an absolute credit to your profession and made a really scary experience just a little less so. Thank you for all you do.
