The entire staff at the Rumford hospital emergency center were excellent. When I arrived at the emergency room as a walk in patient I got in immediately. I have gone to larger hospitals and waited hours to see someone. During my nearly four hour stay I was seen by approximately seven staff and ALL were kind and compassionate.

My first visit to an ER in 20 years. It was a good experience with caring professional people, although they don't do all procedures (like biopsies). They also fed me at the end of the day (and it was good food)!

I went in today for a kidney stone and I was crying and hollering and everyone from the check in lady to the doctor who saw me was awesome and understanding and got me in very quickly. Big shout out to the nurse i had who did my iv and meds and fluids she was very comforting and told me every step of the way what she was doing and giving me.

I'm a transgender male and went here for a hysterectomy recently. I received the best care I could have ever imagined the minute I stepped off the elevator from the OR nurse. All the staff were so supportive of using correct pronouns and just making me feel welcomed as a transgender in general getting a very uncomfortable surgery, on top of the usual wonderful patient care they already give. Thank you all so much for being so kind when it's needed the most.

The ER is incredibly slow. Nothing is urgent to these nurses and doctors. They take 10+ mins to answer a call bell if they answer it at all. Attitudes are not pleasant coming from the providers either. They definitely seem like this is the last place they'd rather be. It's quite displeasing to be treated as though you're not a priority when you're seeking emergent medical care. Shame on you Rumford. You could do so much better but you don't!

y young son's face had swollen to the point he was almost unrecognizable! My husband and I didnt know if he fell skiing or if he had a tooth issue since he was complaining about tooth pain. Long story short, EVERY PERSON we encountered at this hospital was extremely caring, considerate and accommodating!
