I was hit by a car on Wednesday whilst riding my scooter home from TAFE and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for emergency by ambulance. I want to thank all the paramedics, nurses and doctors who looked after me and did every possible test to make sure my bones and internal organs were not affected by the collision. I stayed there from 5 p.m. until 2 a.m. the next day and was discharged after confirmation. I only had muscle injuries and was able to return home safely.

I want to thank the Emergency Department Dr Poppy when my Dad was brought in after collapsing at home on the 10th of November. He was then transferred to ICU and looked after by Dr Peter. We can’t thank all the nurses and doctors enough! Your kindness and care were outstanding. You always kept us up to date and had time to explain Dad’s situation.

I cannot thank the brilliant staff at RPH enough for the care they have provided to our eldest daughter before, during and after some serious surgery. The place is frenetic and they all seem to have everything well under control. Pleasant, no fuss and extremely well trained from cleaning staff through to nurses, admin etc..

I know hospitals are pretty scary places to be in with a lot of sensory overload however, the teams of doctors, surgeons, specialists and nurses that worked on me and my wisdom tooth were all brilliant, got me through it safely and with minimal lasting stress and made me feel as comfortable as I could in the situation I was in. Thankyou so much, I hope you see this. You are doing the people of Perth an excellent service and you deserve the recognition.

Another visit that can only be described as excellent (once again), for treatment @ RPH. All staff (the entire team) that I have met (from reception to specialists) appear to have a consistently positive / cheerful and dedicated attitude in their daily activities (despite the heavy workload). Communication among the health professionals (and patient) is amazing and results in a seamless and relaxed experience as one is walked or wheeled (and the attention given) from one place to another. Once in theater for the operation (probably the best part of all) - a close knit team of doctors, nurses and specialists work in what seems like perfect harmony to produce the best possible outcome! Once again, a big thanks to all staff @ RPH!

I was recently admitted for an appendectomy at Royal Perth Hostpital. I got to triage at 10PM on a Monday (Not what anyone wants) and the reality of my next couple days hadn’t had time to sink in. Of course, having a positive experience at a hospital is simply unrealistic, and you need to understand that the staff are working as hard as they can (at all times of the day/night) but you will need to sit and wait and be as patient as you can, this is life. After waiting in Triage, my blood was taken to test for signs and symptoms, the care and communication I received was more than I could’ve ever asked for. To be honest, the entire process since that moment was nothing but kind, communicative professionalism.
