I had my second visit in 5 years to Emergency today. The first I arrived by ambulance and was seen immediately, great care. Today I was very happy with my treatment, extremely pleasant and caring. After triage, I waited around an hour to be moved to see a Dr. He was very thorough and caring, great listener. Gave pain relief straight away and arranged tests that happened within 30 mins. An hour or so later, he returned with results and a prescription. I am grateful for a positive experience, not how I wanted to spend a Saturday!

I arrived with crushing chest pain and pain when breathing. I was taken in straight away. I'm am very gratefull to the staff and the doctors who saw me. All did a great job of handling my situation. They checked for all the worst possibilities and ruled them out. I was very relieved. The pain eventually subsided with help from pain medication. The doctor suggested trying antacid. That worked. I'd had gastic reflux before, but nothing as painful as that. It happened without any burning sensation or bitter taste in the mouth, this is what made it difficult to diagnose.

We waited for a long time to be seen inside the cubicle, there’s doctors and nurses in the station, but we don’t know who the doctor gonna be handling my partner. Some nurses will come if they remember what they’re doing to the patient, but likely stay in the station area and chitchatting. We’re very lucky 🍀 that dr Sarah Campbell look after my partner and she’s been running around to do my partner paperwork specially that he a type 1 diabetic. We’re very happy that she sent us home after 9 hours of waiting, cause they supposed to put him into the ward , but dr S C do everything in her power to finish all the paperwork. She’s been doing above and beyond so my partner won’t be stuck in the hospital 🏥 ward. Thank you so much Dr S C.

Two days ago I was a public patient at the hospital for a day procedure relating to gastroenterology. With all the negative publicity lately relating to hospitals, staff shortages etc. I didn't quite know what to expect. The realty was I could not have received better treatment. The staff were friendly, caring and very attentive, from the nurses to the anaesthetist. Thanks to all, it was a really positive experience.
