This hospital is amazing. I needed a ct scan and was told it would be at least 6 weeks before I could get one in Huntington. When I called Raleigh General they got me in for my scan in a couple days. Everyone from scheduling to the radiologist was super nice and friendly. It might be just a small test but for me to get in and to be treated like family it was a huge blessing.

Just wanted to thank the staff on 2north for taking care of my mother. The staff was there for anything and everything she needed. She was very pleased with her night shift nurse Tammy, and was beyond thankful for her nurse Amber. Her and my father both bragged about how Amber was the best nurse she’s ever had in any of her hospital stays. So thank you all!

My husband was a patient in the ER on Friday the 10th he and I both was very happy pleased with the care and understanding of the ER staff, everyone in the ER was so good to him, and kept a very close eye on his vitals, I would recommend Raleigh general hospital ER to everyone. I came to WV for a golf trip the first night could not sleep and went to the hospital that morning at 4am with abdominal pain. The ER nurses were great in the whole process. I ended up getting admitted with appendicitis, had surgery the by 11am that morning, and ended up staying a night at the hospital. During the surgery the nurses called my wife and kept her updated throughout. My wife and kids could not be more thankful since the were states away. The overall experience was positive, and the nurses were great. Treat people how you want to be treated and the experience will be great. No golf for me.

I know people say this isn’t a great hospital. I can’t agree. My mom was her on cardiac step down unit and all the nurses, nursing staff, doctors, everyone was so very nice and helpful. I would bring her back to this hospital, yes!

My sister was in a horrible auto accident and was rushed to Raleigh General with numerous broken bones and various injuries several weeks ago.. She could not have gotten better care than what she got in the ICU unit. She was always so positive about the care she received. Nurses were always friendly and very compassionate about her situation. Today she went to her hometown physician 10 hours away, and he stated that the surgeon at Raleigh did an outstanding job mending a broken tibia. We could not be more pleased getting that news!

I had a wonderful experience at this hospital. Although it is 45 minutes from my home, I felt that it would be better than the local hospital. When I arrived, they got me registered in triaged quickly, the nurses were very kind, the doctor was very kind and thorough. They worked quickly to get all of my testing done and explained everything thoroughly to me. They also helped me get insurance when I had none. I'm very thankful.

I am severely allergic to bee stings. RG saved my life last night when I went into anaphylactic shock. They were quick an attentive to my needs!

Just got my surgery here and the nurses and Dr Rainey were very nice. Very small incisions and very little after pain. They took great care of me today and I truly recommend this place 100% for my type of surgery.
