Wow, the staff here was amazing. Each and everyone one of them were friendly, helpful and most of all competent and thorough. Wait time to see a doctor was very short. Care was thorough and believe me I was a new man after I was treated for my illness. I am from out of town and follow up care was thoroughly addressed, with RX, CT scan disks for my doctor at home and all other labs. I hope I don't misspell any names and I may leave out a name or two, but please accept my gratitude for the great care I received at MDI. Thank you to: Chenoa, the receptionist. Nursing staff: India, Kathy, Hannah. Guy Mahan, PA. David in CT, and the remaining staff that I didn't get their names. You were all exceptional and should be proud of the work you do. Thanks, again.

My mom fractured her pelvis and ended up in the hospital for nearly two weeks. The nursing staff from the emergency room through her whole visit were so kind, so effective, and helped her get better every day. Dr Davidson visited daily. PT and OT staff were exceptional. I can not thank the whole hospital team enough for taking such good care of her.

Split my chin which needed stitches and the ER care team fixed it right up. Great care all around - if I ever find myself in Bar Harbor and injured I know I would be taken care of.

Whenever I hear the Life Flight helicopter go over our house any time of day or night I relive my emergency treatment at MDI Hospital and am thankful for it being close at hand and Mary driving me to the ER for intervention. Travel to an off island facility could have had a different outcome. My blood test results were off the chart and indicated bilateral pulmonary emboli. Knowing personnel in the ER was also very reassuring and the lab test results were explained so we both understood them. I recovered within a three day stay upstairs and was released to resume the rest of my of life. The staff continued to treat others with their usual care and professionalism. I wasn't the only one in the ER that Sunday afternoon.

I was seen in the early hours of the morning with severe pain and I cannot thank the PA Chuck, the RN Allison, and all of the clerical, radiology, and security staff enough. I was seen promptly, managed professionally, and every one of treatment and financial needs were explained and considered while crating my treatment plan. I would highly recommend this emergency department.
We had to take our daughter there while on vacation in Maine. The staff was absolutely fantastic. From dr to nurses (Hillary !) we were in and out of an emergency room visit in about an hour and a half. They made her feel so safe and special, that she asked if we could go back! Great hospital experience for our little girl.
