Overview

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, was established through the merger of North West London Hospitals NHS Trust and Ealing Hospital NHS Trusts in October 2014. The trust oversees the operations of Northwick Park Hospital and St Mark's Hospital in Harrow, Central Middlesex Hospital in Park Royal, and Ealing Hospital in Southall. Additionally, they manages four community hospitals and provides community services in Brent, Ealing, and Harrow. With a dedicated staff of 8,590 across their various sites, the trust recorded 141,355 Emergency Department attendances and 80,756 elective inpatient and day case admissions during the 2016/17 period.

In 2018, the trust made the decision not to submit a bid for a 10-year contract to deliver "out of hospital services" to Ealing Clinical Commissioning Group, services they had been previously providing. The chief executive explained to staff that despite the offered sum being higher than the trust's existing funding for the services, they were not feasible to maintain a quality service within the budget. Ultimately, a consortium led by West London Mental Health NHS Trust secured the contract.
