Went for Dermatology department. Came from a perspective where we thought government hospital has bad service and long waiting times. Oh, I was wrong. The carpark was sufficient, despite a longer walk. The waiting time was not long at all, sometimes private hospital even longer. The staff is so kind, even though they are busy sometimes, they still try to do everything. Honestly, HKL for the win.

Went on Sunday 11am. Not many people or visitors around. Parked at the cashless carpark area. Shaded and had the light indicators above. Helps when finding empty carpark. Free 15mins. RM2 for 1st hour and add on RM1 for next consecutive hours. Had to walk a bit from the carpark to main building. Not too close but not too far. Still okay. Staffs as usual. You can't really expect much courtesy from government hospital staffs.

What a pleasant surprise with our national hospital when I was warded for my unstable angina during the height of the MCO in early April..the perception of because this is a fully government run facility, service will be slow and staff unmotivated to serve. How untrue that was I found out myself. Staffs are so professional and informative . Service was really good and very assuring..The improvements are so impressive that I would not hesitate to say that its on par with some private hospitals and clinics. Well done HKL..You guys has done a really good job and made us proud to be Malaysians.

love the new building. used to be a patient here. can get very crowded at times. do go to klinik kesihatan first and get a referral before coming here or go straight to the emergency. no walk-ins
