Overview

They were the inaugural hospital in Utah to establish a specialized pediatric unit operated by Primary Children’s Hospital. This allows your child to receive the renowned care associated with Primary Children’s closer to home, reducing travel time for you while your child is hospitalized and allowing you to spend more time by your child’s side. While more complex cases may necessitate travel to Primary Children’s Hospital, many conditions can be effectively treated here. Cutting-edge cancer care and treatments in proximity to your residence are provided. For individuals dealing with cancer, frequent and regular treatments may be required. At this hospital, patients can undergo chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and infusion/IV services, significantly minimizing travel and treatment time during a period when energy and stamina may be limited. They has been designated as a Level IV trauma center by the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. This certification signifies that this hospital can provide advanced trauma life support to assess and stabilize patients before potentially transferring them to a higher-level trauma center. Meeting stringent criteria, Level IV trauma centers must be equipped to deliver advanced trauma life support at all times.

Went into the ER around 3am Monday for horrible back pain. They got me to a room quickly and did blood work and a CT scan and before I knew it I was admitted and had to get my gallbladder removed. The nurses and staff were so kind and helpful. I was really anxious and everyone answered my questions so nicely. It was all a bit of a blur but I felt so safe and taken care of. I highly recommend this hospital!

Day surgery Dec 2023. Great experience. My nurse Lacy was absolutely wonderful!!! Very knowledgeable of my procedure (parathyroid) so relieved any anxiety. Highly recommend.

My daughter just had her baby here and wow wow. She had the most amazing experience in labor and deliver and also in the mom and baby unit. Ashlee, Alicia and Joni (from Alta Hospital who was helping that night) were so patient and loving with my daughter in labor and delivery. Andrea, Brittany, Dr. Hines, Dr Beck and Dr. Peacock were most fabulous in the after care of my daughter and her baby. My daughter couldn’t have asked for a better hospital to have her baby. Thank you so much to all the staff even the cleaning crew and the food personnel for taking good care of them and for also making sure all her guests were taken care of. Baylee and Elliot are so happy and healthy!

Excellent experience regarding the service to the appointment to perform a tomography study for my mother. Your staff (reception) Mr.: Verl, received us with a treatment par excellence and served in informing and personally guiding us to the waiting place. The Lady: Norma, in this other image reception, was very courteous and gentle in her attention. We thank you for the excellent quality of service, I hope it continues and will be like this in many institutions in the state of Utah.

I have had 2 deliveries here and the staff was amazing in labor and delivery. Fast forward I'm 10weeks pp and I needed an out patient procedure done. In pre op my nurse Amanda, who's also from texas, was so just so incredibly kind and easy to talk to! We shared stories and laughs as well! My OR nurses Traci and Matt, I didn't get to know them well... well.. because I was asleep haha but I'm sure they are amazing. Anesthiologist Dr. W was incredibly thorough and understanding and explained the entire process to me which put my mind at ease. Coming out of surgery I'm greeted with Dee and the bed side manner she carries is something of an angel. I was crying, not sure why but assuming that was the Anesthesia, and she comforted me and took the best care of me and reassured me that I was normal and everything was okay, the pina colada smoothie was awesome also! Post op room time, Amanda was quick and thorough to get us discharged and on the road. So overall, this was just an incredible experience and these staff members are super stars!

I am so amazed and feel so blessed at the care everyone here from doctors, nurses, housekeeping , kitchen , everyone here is absolutely wonderful and very attentive with patients and their families. They have been so good to my baby and are quick to check on her every time something changes. Doctor came in and blew bubbles for my baby .. made her feel comfortable and smiles..I recommend riverton hospital primary children's 100 % .. you are such a blessing

Best experience all the way around!! On August 10th I was sent to the hospital for an emergency C-section due to high blood pressure. When I first got to labor and delivery my nurses name was Maria and she was amazing! She knew I was nervous and very emotional, she made sure to keep me in high spirits the entire time. She held my hand and reassured me everything would be ok and she got me through it! During the surgery the entire staff was amazing! After I was sent to mom and baby where I had several nurses as I was there for 4 days. I don’t re names but every si nurse was great they took amazing care of me they were all so nice and comforting I would definitely recommend delivering at riverton if you have the chance that was my second time and each time I had Excellent care! Now my son had to spend 6 days in NICU and let me tell you the care my son received and the support I received was beyond amazing the staff took such good care of me. My Birthday fell into this time I didn’t say anything but Julie figured it out and made sure I had a card and some treats it was so sweet I can not believe a complete stranger went out of her way for me like that. There was one particular nurse that honestly helped me get through one of the most emotional times of my life! Her name is Alyssa before she ever even met me she treated my son as if he was her own. She was by our side every single day we were there helping us get through. She would feed the baby so I could sleep she would make sure I had everything I needed she would reassure everything would be ok when things got to emotional for me (because they did a lot) I can not describe every single little thing that that lady did to make our stay special but I will forever be grateful for her!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for hiring such an amazing staff!!
