Wonderful experience at Hayward Memorial Hospital having my baby back in spring '23. I was newer to the area and had heard good things about the OBGYN dept. The staff is wonderful, intelligent, accountable, and know you by name. My OB is also our family doctor which is convenient. My questions are always answered and they find time to get me in when needed. The building is expanding to accommodate more - more specialties, more doctors, etc. Highly recommend.

My wife was pulled to the pavement by two fairly large, excited dogs who had just seen their first deer. She fractured her femur and wrist. She realized, after walking back to our resort cabin that it was more than bruises. Fortunately, the urgent care at Hayward Memorial Hospital was our only real option. I’m happy to report that EVERY aspect of our visit, from reception to discharge was handled by caring, thoughtful professionals. We are especially grateful that a well-qualified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Brian Donahue, was available to treat my wife. It’s a bit strange to say it, but THIS hospital visit was almost stress free!

Got an ear infection while on vacation and had to find an urgent care. It was a little strange at first to go to the emergency room for urgent care, but it was all good. It is very clean here and well organized. The nurse Amber who helped me was very kind and efficient. The doctor, Dr. Novak got straight to the point and I could tell was a very good doctor. I would definitely come back if needed (although, I hope I don't have to).

I wish I could give yall 1k stars! I would not be alive today if not for this ER's staff knowledge about tick borne illness. Unfortunately, my organs had shut down after a few weeks of high fever. Remarkably they tested me for anaplasmosis a NASTY deer tick disease and treated me right away....I WAS ADAMENT that they were wrong and that I had NEVER seen a tick on me. A few days after the confirmation came in, they were correct in the DX. It took months to recover from this nasty disease but I'm Blessed, because sadly so many go undiagnosed, and it has wreaked havoc on their health. Bravo to the staff at Hayward Memorial for the excellent care I received!

Spent 5 days at the hospital for covid. I can't say enough about the great treatment I received from the moment I walked in the door. Everyone I came in contact with during my stay were so professional from the Dr. And nurses and all the support staff. I highly recommend this hospital.

My son had a painful ear infection and we brought him to Hayward Hospital urgent care where the wait was more than 1 hour with a packed waiting room and more and more people coming in every minute. The staff was very pleasant. Kudos to triage nurse Barb who was very patient with my son who didn't want a nose or throat culture. Nurse practitioner Stephanie who was absolutely wonderful in treating my son. Please remember, everywhere is short staffed. Rude behavior doesn’t make them go any faster. Healthcare workers are doing the best they can with the resources they have. Kindness goes a long way.
