I was transferred to the Surgical Unit from the Gretna Medical Center for an emergency Appendectomy. My surgeon was Dr. Brian Charnock. I could never think this man enough. Not only did he save my life, he was very kind and patient with me, answering any questions I had and taking the time to help ease my anxiety. The Surgical Unit it’s self was immaculately clean and comfortable, and I was cared for my the best nurses. To the RN’s that cared for me, thank you for being so kind, compassionate, and accommodating. At other healthcare facilities in the past I haven’t always been treated fair and in an unbiased way, mainly due to my physical appearance. But the entire team that cared for me through this experience were all kind, genuinely cares for my wellbeing, and did everything they could to provide me the best care possible. In my opinion, You all are the gold standard of what healthcare should be. Thank you.

I experienced excellent care in cardiac emergency on February 23rd when I was brought in by ambulance for a serious A Fib attach. Doctor's, nurses and all staff were with me all the way and the care and concern was absolutely great all the way through. Medication got my heart rate back and I was kept overnight for observation and released the next day. I am very grateful to each one to contributed to my excellent care. I would recommend Lynchburg General to anyone as a top of the line facility

My grandson was a pediatric patient recently. The staff was great on the second floor and the Emergency department. It was a scary time and the family was made to feel calm.

My daughter goes to college In the area and had to have emergency surgery. All the nurses went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and the doctors were great. I dont understand all the previous negative reviews. We would definitely use this hospital again.

After my 3 year old daughter was transported here due to respiratory failure from pneumonia and asthma, the pediatrics department welcomed us warmly and promptly with care and top notch service. I wish I knew the names of every nurse and DR that was there when we first arrived, because they were absolutely incredible. We have been to 4 different hospitals (pediatrics departments) and NONE came close to giving my family the satisfaction, answers, support, and confirmation that this hospital gave. For every future need my children may have, this will be the hospital of choice. We were here 3 nights and every minute of the stay was amazing. I am still blown away by the services we had received and will continue to support this hospitals pediatrics department, thank you!

I came to the ER having an allergic reaction. IV was inserted and medication given immediately. Very soon after I was feeling much better. The staff was so kind and professional.
