Butler Ambulance Services Co

Established by Clarence Bacher, they commenced their service to the community in January 1967. Initially situated at 333 East Jefferson Street, Butler Ambulance initiated its operations with merely two vehicles, specifically, 1957 and 1959 Cadillac ambulances. These units were staffed by two full-time employees and four part-time employees who had received training in Advanced First Aid. Today, Butler Ambulance continues to be a family-owned and family-operated business, with Clarence Bacher, his son Dennis, and their grandchildren David, Alicia, and Nathan at the helm. The service presently operates from three different locations: one in Butler City, another on Whitestown Road in Butler Township, and the third on Route 8 North in Center Township.

Butler Ambulance's primary service area encompasses Butler City and the following townships: Butler, Center, Brady, Cherry, Clay, Concord, Connoquenessing, Forward, Franklin, and Penn. Beyond its primary service regions, Butler Ambulance also extends its support to neighboring ambulance services upon their request. They maintain a fleet of 11 ambulances, ensuring a swift and effective response to medical emergencies. Additionally, they operate 14 wheelchair vans, equipped to provide specialized transportation services. Complementing this, they possess a single Advanced Life Support Squad Vehicle, further enhancing their ability to deliver critical care. Behind these operations, a dedicated team of 100 employees stands ready to provide their expertise and assistance in delivering essential healthcare services to the community.
