I can’t thank the ENT team enough! I presented with a quinsy, a really painful abscess on my tonsil and they saw me and sorted it really quickly, even though it was clearly a very busy weekend. It was drained within half an hour of me arriving and then I was admitted overnight for antibiotics. I was really well looked after on the ward, everyone was lovely and everything well explained. Thank you so much, Matt

In May 2023 I landed in ICU and now, December 2023 I was back - this time in Urology. So, I had a good opportunity to compare patient service levels. Totally amazing. Top notch! God bless all hospital staff!

Thank you so much for everything you do for your patients. It was a long wait but everyone was kind and kept informing us of wait times and set expectations appropriately. It's such a tough job but you guys are really amazing. I can't say enough kind things about all of you.

To the team in the cardiology day stay department, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Words can’t express how greatful I am, I headed in here to do an angiogram procedure, unbeknown to me, I needed 2 main arteries unblocked so ended up having a angioplasty, I am one who never likes going to doctors or hospitals, but Dr lance, and Mike, thank you guys for giving me a 2nd chance at life ❤️ and the Nurses who looked after me. Nervous going in the operating room, they made me feel calm, put music on, all laughing, and that put me at ease straight away. As a heavy smoker for the last 18 years, Dr Lance said it was best I give up if I didn’t wanna see him again and better my health. well that was enough for me to quit right then and there. 3 weeks today no smoking and haven’t even had the urge for one. Again, thank you team. Best Cardio Team ever 🙏

Although we are in zone for Middlemore Hospital, we have travelled to the birthing unit here twice. The birthing rooms are clean and tidy. The staff are very helpful. You have your own dedicated nurse while you are in labour. The nurse does an amazing job taking care of the birthing mother throughout the entire process. There are family rooms, and tea facilities for spouses and extended family. We also went to the Tamaki ward for after birth Care for two nights. They have sleeping arrangements available in the room for your spouse. Staff in this ward were fantastic and helpful. Again there is a family room and communal kitchen. Overall the hospital is pretty up-to-date and tidy. My only concern is parking. The car park tends to get full quite early and the parking fees are astronomical. If you are a genuine patient, you should be offered some sort of parking subsidy.

My wife was recently admitted to the Coronary Care Unit ward 3 with a massive heart attack. The care she recieved from all staff was just outstanding. The nurses, doctors and ancilliary workers were caring, accommodating and professional. Nothing was too much for them and they went out of their way to not only look after my wife but also myself. Thank you all for your kindness. Best wishes Derek and Pauline Parrott

Been here a few times for different issues (infected spider bite, broken finger, broken arm etc.) Staff have always been polite, issues resolved and aftercare treatment in place has been good too. The one thing is the long wait times but I guess it's understaffed.
