Paramedic Systems, Inc. originated in Rhode Island in 1986. In 1989, three years following its establishment, PSI acquired Alert Ambulance Service, a small company situated in Fairhaven, MA, which comprised four vehicles and a dozen employees. As of today, Alert Ambulance Service has grown to encompass 12 satellite locations across Massachusetts and Rhode Island, with its main office situated in Fall River, MA.
They have a larger number of employed paramedics compared to any other company in Rhode Island, and they persist in broadening their service area in Massachusetts. Their array of services comprises 911 Emergencies & 24-Hour Dispatch, Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Bariatric Transportation Services, Chair Car Transportation, Special Events, and Social Gatherings.
