Al-Ahli Hospital was originally planned as a for-profit medical facility with a capacity of 100 beds, concentrating on Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Gynecology. After a year of planning, the private stakeholders, motivated by their vision, reached out to His Highness, Emir Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani for support. Consequently, in 1990, the government of Qatar allocated several hectares of land on Ahmed Bin Ali street (its present location) under the condition that a new healthcare facility would be built.
They aspire to shape Al-Ahli Hospital into a comprehensive symbol of care and compassion, offering a range of services including Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, a Heart Care Center, and Dietary services.
Had 2 occasions to visit this week, once to take parents to an appointment and one to take grandaughter to A&E. Both times we were quickly dealt with and professionally, we felt we got the correct advice and medication, happy to live within 5 minutes of this hospital.
