Who are Osteopaths ?

Osteopaths are healthcare professionals who practice osteopathy, a form of alternative medicine that emphasizes the body's natural ability to heal itself. Osteopaths use a range of manual techniques, such as manipulation, massage, and stretching, to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal problems, as well as other health conditions.

Osteopaths believe that the body is a holistic unit, with all parts interconnected and dependent on one another. They use a whole-person approach to healthcare, taking into account not only a patient's physical symptoms but also their emotional, mental, and social well-being.

Osteopaths are trained to treat a wide range of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, joint pain, headaches, and digestive problems. They also provide preventive care, such as advice on nutrition, exercise, and stress management, to help patients maintain optimal health.

Osteopathy is a regulated profession in many countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Osteopaths typically complete a four- to six-year program of study, followed by a period of supervised clinical practice, in order to become licensed and practice legally.
